Dawna received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida and her Masters degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Worcester State College, where she also minored in Psychology. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Auditory Society. She received board certification in Audiology with a specialty in cochlear implants in April 2005 from the American Academy of Audiology.
